The good news about the evening is that no one has reported being ill after eating at Denny's and that the Medina Toy and Train Museum was a delightful destination .

Folks gathered sort of haphazardly at Denny's for dinner (with the exception of our fearless leader and our intrepid newsletter editor who had better sense). After dinner we drove to the Medina Toy and Train Museum where we were given a guided tour by member Mickey Mishne and Museum Director, John Shephard. The museum itself is very impressive as are the displays of trains, planes, boats, tractors, dolls and mechanical toys. Mickey and John both filled us in on the history of the collections, including a very comprehensive library devoted to literature about model trains and toys. We were also given a backstage tour of new display areas currently under construction.

Medina is a beautiful town and it was a pleasure to spend time at this fine and unique museum. Thanks to Mickey for inviting us.
