President Sally Carroll opened the meeting at 8:15 p.m. and distributed a tentative calendar of monthly events for the upcoming year.

Non Club events in which we may wish to participate include:

  • Sunday July 25th - Neil's 50th Birthday party at the Scheid home - club members are invited
  • Concours D'Ordinaire at Lawnfield sometime in the summer
  • May 1st and 2nd the British Swap Meet in Fairlawn
  • August 7th - British Car Day at Shaker Square
  • July 4th - Chagrin Falls Fab 4th Fifties Car Show on the Triangle and the 2nd annual Duck Derby
  • June 26 - Scottish Games and British Car Show in Oberlin
Monthly events were discussed as follows:
  • MARCH - Sally will call Ted Girdler and ask if he will do a mini tech session for us at Sally's house or in Medina.
  • APRIL - Dave Bunsey cannot be the rallymaster for the Alley Ralley this year. Dave will ask Tom Kimball if he is interested and Sally will ask John Quigley if he is interested. If we do not find a rallymaster we will all get together for dinner on April 16th, perhaps at the Chester Tavern in their private room.
  • MAY - Sally will check with Margo regarding the advisability of a few of us going to meet her students and perhaps taking them an ice cream treat. Dave suggested that we go out to dinner at his favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the new Chinatown on May 21st.
  • JUNE - Keith and Zo volunteered to put together a simple rally ending at a simple eating establishment on June 18th.
  • JULY - Don and Anne volunteered their property for the July 16th Potluck Picnic.
  • AUGUST - We will all gather at Sawyer's restaurant in Mentor on August 20th to once again celebrate Zo's birthday.
  • SEPTEMBER - Sally has offered HiLife Farm for the annual Labor Day Picnic and Gymkhana on September 5th. The annual Bunsey Steak Roast and Clambake is scheduled for September 25th.
  • OCTOBER - The Prushas will look into dinner opportunities for us in Amish homes following our Fall Color Tour on Sunday October 17th.
  • NOVEMBER - The annual Wine and Cheese Election meeting is scheduled for November 19th and is looking for a host or hostess.
  • DECEMBER - Sally has volunteered to hostess the annual Holiday Potluck Supper at her home on December 18th.
  • JANUARY - The Annual Banquet is scheduled tentatively for Saturday, January 22nd.
Great nibblies were enjoyed by all and there sure was a lot of monkey business discussed including generators, cable channel 69, Oprah's show on sex, and the diminutive size of the Mayans.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 p.m. when the Tames and Sykoras made their way across the ice to their cars.

Respectfully submitted by,
