Lynn, Chip Ellmers and I have laid out a nice fall colors tour, with an emphasis on the Emerald Necklace and a little bit of the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area thrown in.
The tour will start at 10:30 A.M. on Sunday, October 16th in an easily reached northwest corner of the Metropark system. It will end up at The Prushas' unique home at around 2:00 P.M. where we will, of course, eat. The club will spring for grillable stuff and cold soft drinks. We can supplement the club supplies with potluck as well. Remember that any potluck food will be well traveled by the time it reaches the Prushas', so please make provisions to keep it warm, cold, or vertical, as necessary.
There will be a jumping off, or jumping on point for those who do not want to go too far east or too far west. That point will be a park with facilities on Egbert Rd. off Broadway near the Broadway exit for I-480 and near the Forbes Rd. exit for I-271.
Call me at home, (216) 228-4990, after October 5th for exact directions. I'll be in Atlanta until then.
