President Sally Carroll called the meeting to order at 8:30 p.m following a lively hour and a half of wine drinking and cheese eating in the lovely home of Bill Gorris. President Carroll asked the membership if there were any nominations for officers. After a little discussion and no nominations the current officers were asked to continue to serve. Ann Gelehrter asked that her new email address be noted and that she be included on the Checkpoint email list. Based on decisions made at the last meeting, annual dues of $1.00 per family (for current members) were collected from all members in attendance. Ann Gelehrter asked if the club had considered donating any of Mickey Mishne's bequest. Keith Sykora said that the topic had been discussed at the last meeting and that the consensus had been that Ann, who was not present at that time, was the member who had been closest to Mickey and most likely to have an informed opinion as to what his intent for the bequest might have been. The opinion was also expressed that had Mickey wished to donate to another organization he would have done so directly rather than indirectly through the Cleveland Sport Car Club and that his bequest was probably intended to promote the longevity and general welfare of CSCC, Mickey having stated on at least one occasion that he regarded the club as his second family and his most durable relationship. Ann said that she thought it would be nice to create a memorial in his memory. Brad suggested that we create a trophy in his name for the Medina Car Show. Planting a tree with a plaque at Mid-Ohio was also suggested. Ann was asked to put together a proposal exploring possible uses for the bequest for consideration by the membership. Ann said the British Car Council, on which she serves, is considering putting together a gathering of Cleveland British car clubs. There was discussion about what sort of event might work. Meeting for dinner after Brtish Car Day was mentioned. The date for British Car Day will be July 28th or August 4th. There was reminiscing about the Wings and Wheels event which used to be put on by Crawford Auto Museum. WRHS no longer has the staff necessary to put on such an event. John Quigley said he thought an event called Two-Three-Four would be fun to include motorcycles, planes and cars, the reference being to the number of wheels on those classes of vehicles. President Carroll asked that members come to the December Potluck at her house on Sunday, December 17th prepared to discuss program suggestions for 2007. Members were reminded to bring socks for Margo's kids to the December meeting. She has 12 girls and 7 boys and regular adult size socks will be fine. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m. with thanks to our host, Bill Gorris. Submitted by,
